"This is the 10th car that I've purchased in my life for either my wife or myself and I have NEVER had such an excellent experience buying a car. I did my research and knew what I wanted so I used GM's website to find dealers that had the exact car that I wanted in their inventories. I basically hit every dealer within a 100 mile radius with a request for a quote and I heard back from Tom within minutes...I also heard back from about 4 other dealers but NONE of them answered my question and provided a quote...all seemed like they were trying to "play games" with me and just wanted lots of personal information and a commitment that I would come in for a test drive. That defeats the purpose of Internet shopping! I simply didn't want to waste my saturday driving all over shopping for cars. So when I got Tom's e-mail back he didn't play games, he simply quoted his price. MSRP less discounts, rebates, etc. He even did a little analysis on taking the rebates versus financing and offered a few other available rebates that I may qualify for if I met certain requirements...it was amazing that he did exactly what I wanted while nobody else would! He certainly encouraged me to come in to talk but didn't make that a requirement to give a quote. Then there was my trade. Granted I had a trade that truly is worth something and that is high in demand (an '06 Toyota Prius) but I did my research and knew exactly what the car was worth...and I told Tom in e-mail what I needed for the trade and didn't have time to "play games" haggling over the price I just want a fair price up front. He again immediately wrote back and while he couldn't commit without seeing the car mentioned that he talked to the guy in charge of that and my expectations didn't seem unreasonable if the car checks out. So that was it, I jumped in the car and drove down to your dealer. I got there, loved the new car and got a great price, and best of all, no games were played on the trade...they gave me exactly what my research told me was a fair price for my car...no haggling. So many dealers use the trade transaction to play hardball...you know how it goes, you come in, fall in love with the new car, you come to a good deal on the new vehicle and then they appraise the trade and try to not even tell you what they are offering...they come right to you with a monthly payment with the lowball trade included and the gap value rolled-in to the new loan. They figure that you're in the moment where emotions are running high, you really just want to get out of there and drive your new car home, and you go ahead and say, "fine, I can swing that payment." Tom's integrity and the integrity of your dealer mean a lot to me...you didn't try to take advantage of me and I appreciate that. Even your finance guy was great. I had approval from my own bank for a 4.9% rate and your finance guy said, I can probably match that or do better...and he did better...I think it was 4.8% with his bank...amazing! I don't expect to need a new car for a while but when I do I will look to your dealerships and specifically to Tom Culp first. You've won and earned my business and also my recommendation.
